Play Station Portable PSP in short, the handheld game console is manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment and unveiled in May 2004. Specifications

The Samsung TFT LCD screen displays in 480 x 272 pixel resolutions with a capacity of 16.77 million colors. There are four brightness settings. The main microprocessor of the Free PSP on Mobile Phones is a multifunction device called “Allegrex”. The other processor block called Media Engine, hardware for multimedia decoding and a programmable DSP named Virtual Mobile Engine. The Media Engine is equivalent o the CPU functionally. There are other homebrew tools that you can use for higher frame rates to enjoy the games. 

Optical Drive & Controls

The optical drive used by the PSP is compatible with Universal Media Disc format. The redesigned PSP has a longer battery life and faster data transfer speed. The PSP has music as well as movie playback capabilities. It also has various buttons including the start and select buttons. There is a digital 4 directional pad, analog ‘nub’ and a row of secondary controls. They control volume and music settings for switching off or on music for the games, and regulating the volume. You can also select from among the presents of equalizers. Using the home button, you can carry on with multitasking. 

Interface & Accessories

The Free Sony PSP uses the interface “Xross MediaBar” which is used by Sony TVs besides the PSX (DVR) hardware and PlayStation 3. The horizontal sequence of icons for Settings, music, photo, video, audio, game etc. show another vertical sequence of sub-icons allowing you to make your selection. The optional accessories offered with the PSP are Carrying case, PSP Headphone, battery charger, car adapter, wrist wrap, cleaning cloth, system pouch, and accessories pouch.
