You can download the data needed from the guest system to the host system by choosing the DS download play option from the main menu. There are DS Download Stations who sell DS games that allow you to download DS and Wii games. But once the system is switched off the games get erased due to memory limitations.

The PictoChat interface allows users to chat with each other with text and pictures using the stylus and touch screen. Up to sixteen people can communicate from four chat rooms. The Nintendo DS is compatible with Game Boy Advance GBA cartridges using slot 1 and the Game Boy Advance games can be played using the slot 2.
