Happy with the success of the Black label chocolate phone and the shine series LG Mobiles has introduced the Viewty. The LG KU990 Viewty is a neat package with high tech features under its hood. It is a touch screen 5-megapixel camera phone. It is a highly sophisticated device that you would be proud to own.

Design

The phone is somewhat similar to the iphone in dimension. It measures 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 mm, and weighs about 112 g. It is one of the best looking camera phone launched so far. In the front is the 3” touch sensitive display screen with 240 x 400 pixels resolution. It provides superior visibility. The screen is very receptive and can be set to vibrate when you touch it, which provides more tactile feedback than when you simply tap a flat display. Under the screen are the three mechanical keys, the end and send call keys, and the cancel key. The LG Viewty comes with an original stylus dongle, that doesn’t plug anywhere into the handset. It is attached to the hand strap eyelet instead. It’s quite original and looks great.

Camera

The most impressive feature of the phone is its 5 mega pixel camera certified by Schneider-Kreuznach. The camera is positioned at the top-left section of the back of the handset. Next to the camera is xenon flash and auto focus light. It also has the hardware jog wheel that controls the digital zoom. This can be used for setting the exposure compensation and brightness. For the first time in camera phone history, the phone offers a manual function that enables users to focus independently. You can catch any fast moving sports event with the high-speed recording (120 FPS). You can upload and download videos directly to YouTube too.

Features

For fast and easy information search, LG KU990 comes with HSDPA 3.6 Mbps which allows full Internet browsing capability, the Google package (includes Google Search, e-Blogger, Gmail™ and Google Maps™ for mobile handsets), and MSN and Yahoo messenger services. The phone also has Handwriting Recognition technology that identifies user handwriting on the display surface for easy and convenient composition of text, phone numbers and Internet searching. With the added Editing function, users can freely edit and enhance captured images and re-live the moment by directly drawing or writing on them.

Other features include a music player that supports MP3, AAC, WMA, WMV and AMR formats. The loudspeaker volume is very good.
