Nokia has launched new models of E series which include E55. This is a 3G smart phone of the E series and has some patent technologies in it to make it a wonderful experience of mobile phone usage. The quad band Nokia E55 supports GSN850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G network of 850 / 1900 / 2100. It weighs extremely light in spite of having such heavy features inside it.

The Nokia E55 sports a 2.4 inches half QWERTY keypad and 3.5 mm jack audio out put. Unlimited entries to phone book, photocall option, 60 MB internal memory, card slot to extend memory up to 16GB (2 GB card included with the pack) and Symbian OS, S60 rel. 3.2 are some features of the phone E55.

Nokia E55 sports GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA of 10.2 Mbps, WLAN, having Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP technology, Bluetooth, and USB port along with HSCSD. The multimedia hub of Nokia E55 has 3.2 MP camera having enhanced features and secondary VGA lens for videocall.

The media player of the phone has files support of MP3/MP4/eAAC+/WMA files and there is FM radio with RDS for live action entertainment. The Nokia E55 also sports digital compass, and document viewer to access Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files.
